The Creek War

[Attack on a CReek Village]

I’ve just been assigned to do a momograph on the Creek War (1813-1814), part of what Americans call the War of 1812.  This comes as part of my duties as historian at the Army’s Center of Military History, and it will be one of seven monographs on this conflict and the Army’s role in it.   Since I am not an expert on this war(s), it will be fun to learn about the details as opposed to the myths surrounding it.  Right now I plan to spend some time doing background reading, and seeing what CMH is missing in their library that I can use.
