How do Americans Feel?

Filed under: Simple Living,The world today — John Maass @ 12:47 pm

From Yahoo! News, an interesting piece on how Americans feel, personally and politically, based ona  poll.   Most folks in the U.S., according to the article, “say they are personally happy and feel in control of their lives and finances, according to an extensive Associated Press-Yahoo! News survey on the mood of voters. Beneath the surface, though, personal and political discontent is bubbling.”

Seems like a growing pessimism and worry in the nation.  “With the limp housing and credit markets dominating recent headlines, financial problems are at the heart of many people’s worries. Though three-quarters say they control their financial situation, most say they are having trouble getting ahead, including a third who say that has become very difficult.”

One can take the poll here as well.  Remarkably, 62% of the poll respondants think it was a mistake to invade Iraq.  Also, more people think its OK to smoke pot than to share music downloads without paying for them!

The rest is quite interesting too……
